Advanced Muscle Reconstruction (AMR) is a precision-based structural technique — not a time-based massage. The right session length depends on the depth and scope of what your body actually needs.
We offer sessions in 1, 2, and 3-hour formats. A 1-hour session is a great starting point for a first experience or for targeted work on a smaller area. Two hours allows for focused attention on a specific region, such as the shoulders or TMJ. Three hours provides the depth needed for thorough work across an entire region — upper or lower body.
For a full-body transformation, we typically recommend 6 hours total, ideally split into two 3-hour sessions. For more complex or chronic conditions, protocols may extend to 12 hours across four 3-hour sessions. If you want more clarity on how long to book please email us atmaria@jimmybluff.com.
Absolutely. Many clients choose to do exactly that, especially those traveling from out of town or looking to experience a full-body transformation in a condensed timeframe. You can receive up to 6 hours in a single day, structured as two 3-hour sessions with at least a one-hour break in between.
Despite the extended length, sessions are designed to remain comfortable and supportive throughout, so your body can stay receptive and responsive the entire time.
You have real flexibility here. Sessions can be scheduled on the same day, within the same week, or spread across a two-week window — whatever works best for your life and availability. The minimum recommended break between sessions is one hour, and we suggest not waiting longer than two weeks between them.
What’s worth knowing: your results are not dependent on spacing. Timing is about your personal experience and pacing, not the outcome.
You can enter through the back door — take the stairs to the second floor in the brick building — or through the front entrance, located between Delphi Restaurant and Saffron & Rose Ice Cream.
Street parking is available nearby. Free parking is also available in the alley directly behind the building — look for spaces marked with the Bluff Technique stencil on the pavement.

Premium hours are a limited number of openings in Jimmy Bluff’s schedule, often his days off, which are occasionally released to accommodate demand. They are not available to book online and may offer earlier availability than standard bookings.

Every body carries its own history — patterns, compensations, injuries, and adaptations that have developed over years. There is no one-size-fits-all protocol. Every session is fully individualized, guided by what your body presents in the moment.
Some clients experience profound shifts very quickly. Others may need more time to unwind deeper or more complex patterns. We approach this work as a collaboration: your practitioner brings precision, expertise, and full presence; you bring openness, awareness, and a willingness to receive and integrate the work. Your commitment to post-session care also plays a meaningful role in how deep and lasting your results become.
Clients often notice visible and tangible changes from the very first session. Because AMRworks structurally, results aren’t just felt — they’re often seen in improved posture, easier movement, restored mobility and overall body alignment.
Common outcomes include reduced pain and tension, greater mobility and range of motion, better postural balance, enhanced performance and a deeper sense of ease and integration in the body. For many clients, these changes are long-lasting — and in some cases, permanent — depending on the severity and duration of the condition, the body’s responsiveness, and commitment to post-session guidance. AMR is designed to create meaningful, lasting change. Not temporary relief.
Yes. AMR is highly adaptable and completely appropriate for both seasoned bodywork clients and those experiencing this kind of work for the very first time.
Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. We recommend that women wear a bra that can be adjusted or worn strapless, to allow access to the shoulders and back. All clients are welcome in comfortable shorts. You will be fully draped at all times, with only the area being actively worked on exposed.
Arrive well hydrated, and avoid intense workouts immediately before your session. Because AMR stimulates the lymphatic system, we also ask that you avoid alcohol or recreational substances beforehand. If you take prescription medication and have any questions, it’s worth consulting your physician ahead of time.
Post-surgical clients must have medical clearance for soft tissue manipulation before receiving work. You’ll also receive a full preparation guide in your confirmation email once your session is booked.
Most clients don’t need any downtime. You may experience mild soreness or tenderness afterward — similar to a post-workout sensation — which typically resolves within 48 to 72 hours.
To support your recovery, we recommend increasing your hydration, maintaining a low inflammatory diet, and incorporating heat therapy such as sauna or Epsom salt baths before and after sessions.
Because AMR works with soft tissue that may carry tension or inflammation, some level of sensation is possible. That said, it is widely experienced as significantly gentler and more comfortable than traditional deep tissue work.
The technique is designed to work with the body — supporting nervous system regulation and allowing the breath to guide the process. Many clients are genuinely surprised by how comfortable and even relaxing the experience feels — even during longer sessions.
AMR is not traditional massage. While massage focuses on relaxation and temporary relief, AMR is a myofascial structural technique designed to restore alignment and structural integrity, improve functional movement, posture and performance as well by addressing the root cause of discomfort — not just manage its symptoms.
Relaxation happens, but it’s a natural byproduct, not the primary goal. Clients come to AMR for recovery and rehabilitation, athletic performance, chronic and complex conditions, and structural optimization.
Each session is a highly focused, fully personalized experience centered entirely on you. Your practitioner works with a high level of presence and precision, reading how your body responds in real time and adapting accordingly. There is no fixed routine — the session unfolds based on what your body reveals and needs in the moment.
The work is primarily physical and structural, addressing soft tissue and alignment. At the same time, clients often notice something deeper unfolding — breath that becomes fuller, a nervous system beginning to settle, a sense of release that goes beyond the physical.
Throughout, you remain fully draped, with only the area being worked on exposed. Your comfort and communication are always respected. You may be gently guided to breathe or soften certain areas to support the process. Most clients describe the experience as grounded, intentional, and deeply restorative — and many notice both immediate physical shifts and a greater ease in how they inhabit their body.
Yes — and we genuinely encourage it for complex or chronic cases, for clients traveling for treatment, or for anyone who wants a tailored session plan before committing.
We offer complimentary assessment calls for this purpose. To request one, simply reach out via the contact form or email us at maria@jimmybluff.com, and we’ll send you the scheduling link.
That depends on the complexity of your condition, how long it has been present, how your body responds and how well you show up to your post session recommended routines. What we can say is that AMR is known for its efficiency and lasting results. Many clients experience meaningful change within just one or two sessions, and full-body work is typically completed within 6 hours. Complex cases may extend to 12 hours.
Most clients do not need ongoing frequent sessions once structural balance is restored. This is work designed to get you results — and keep them.
