About
A competitive athlete and bodybuilder trained at the University of Utah and Utah College of Massage Therapy, Jimmy turned to bodywork in 2003 with one question that wouldn’t leave him alone: why does healing have to hurt? The answer became AMR — a technique built on the principle that compassionate and skilled presence is more powerful than force.
Healing is his passion, gift and sharing it with the world is his mission. He traveled the world to deepend his skills learning new modalities of healing and had his hands consacrated for the purpose of healing by indigenous shamans in the Brazilian Amazon and Hindu Masters. For over two decades, his work has touched bodies, lives, and careers.Clients arrive in pain and leave transformed. Practitioners train under him and find their calling. In 2023, he founded Bluff Academy to carry the technique further — because one person can only reach so many, but a lineage can reach the world.

The Architecture of Transformation
If Jimmy Bluff works through the body — through touch, sensation, and the transmission of a technique that speaks directly to tissue and nervous system — Maria Bluff works through the mind. As CEO of Bluff Advanced Enterprises and the psychological foundation of Bluff Academy, she holds the thinking, the reframing, and the deep inner restructuring that allows practitioners to not just learn AMR, but to fully embody it.
Born in Fortaleza, Brazil, Maria came to this work through a life that demanded it. A former corporate attorney of over two decades, she was always, beneath the professional persona, a student of the psyche — reading Jung at fifteen, finding her way out of clinical depression in her thirties through breathwork and Eastern philosophy, doing the kind of inner work that most people spend a lifetime avoiding. She is a mother, a cycle breaker, and someone who left a successful legal career in her forties to fully become who she had always been. She married Jimmy in 2020, and has never looked back.
In the Bluff Academy certification, Maria is responsible for the mindset and depth coaching of every student. A certified Jungian coach trained through Creative Mind Coaching under Dr. Robert and Deborah Maldonado, her work draws from three pillars — Jungian depth psychology, Eastern philosophy, and neuroscience — along with shamanic and somatic practices that bring transformation into the body. Her methodology moves through shadow work, dream analysis, emotional alchemy, and archetypal work, all toward one aim: making the unconscious conscious, so that practitioners can meet their clients in the deeper layers where the most profound healing actually happens.
Her guiding principle is simple and non-negotiable: clients will only go as far as their healer is willing to go themselves. The work Maria does in the certification container is the work of making that possible.
